About Training with Dr. Stein
Schedule: Two consecutive days of training. Typically, on the first half-day of training, the trainee observes 4 vasectomies during the first hour, then does 4 vasectomies over the next 2.5 hours. On the second half-day, it's observe 2, then do 2; then observe 2, then do 2.
Recruting Patients: Dr. Stein recruits patients for the training days.

About Douglas G. Stein, MD.
Douglas G. Stein, M.D. is a urological surgeon who has been practicing urology in Tampa, Florida since 1983.
As of January, 2013, Dr. Stein had performed over 30,000 vasectomies and 1550 reversals.
Raised in Massachusetts, he graduated summa cum laude from Tufts College of Liberal Arts with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and biology in 1974, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City in 1978.
International Missions: Dr. Stein has been involved in vasectomy missions to the Philippines, Haiti, and Kenya. Dr. Stein has been honored for his contributions to the International Conference of No-Scalpel Vasectomy Surgeons of India, in Goa, India.
